It has been another busy week with the wedding getting so close and CHA next week. We will be unable to attend CHA Chicago this year but we are in touch with all of our wonderful vendors and they are sharing some Wonderful CHA surprises with us. We are ordering so many wonderful new items for the stores. Once my Daughters wedding is over at the end of the month I am going into Full Focus on Flip Flops and Roses Designs. We will finally be able to complete the great new website we have been working on for months and get all of the great products that we carry now in our Ebay Store, into the online store. The last 18 months are almost a blur with so much going on but it is sooo going to be worth it when I see my Beautiful Daughter walk down the isle.
The last month has been kind of hard because she moved out into their Beautiful New Home and Mom is missing her coming home everyday but I will adjust over time 🙂
As promised here is the first post of one of the items I have been working on for the Shower and Wedding, this is the Shower invitation I created and with the help of some Wonderful Friends and Family we were able to create 45 of these to send out.
I love using Lily of the Valley Designs and this Bride and Groom are so Sweet they just make me Smile everytime I see them. I cheated a little due to time limits so instead of using my Stamp and coloring each design, I had a Die Cut sheet that I had purchased from Lily of the Valley. I cut out each design using my Spellbinders Classic Ovals Lg Nestabilities Die and then Matted it with Spellbinders Floral Ovals Nestabilities Die.
I created a Pocket Card that was 6″ x 6″ using some Elegant White Embossed Premade cards that I had come across at Michaels in one of their clearance bins, it was one of those great deals that you can’t pass up but you are not sure when you will use purchases… I cut each card at an angle on the side that did not have any embossing, I then cut out triangles 1/4″ smaller for each side from a pretty Floral Melissa Frances Paper called .. Then I cuto out the mats for behind the Floral Paper from a Shimmery Pink Cardstock that I had purchased at Kelley Paper.
Once I had all of the triangles cut I assembled them using Glue Arts Glue Glider Pro with my High Tac Adhesive Cartridge. I attached 2 card bases together being sure to have the Embossing designs on the inside front of the pocket and the backside of the pocket card. Then I glued the assembled triangles to each side panel and added a piece of Scor-Tape to the bottom of each panel and part way up the front inside panel and glued the pocket card together. Then I attached the Lily of the Valley Bride and Groom panel that we created earlier to the front and added some Sweet Flowers from Prima and Pearls from Want 2 Scrap to complete the pocket.
Then I began creating the inside card with the Shower information. For the base, I cut a square 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ out of the Pink Shimmery Cardstock and another square 1/8″ smaller out of the Floral Melissa Frances Paper I glued the 2 squares together. I then designed the invite on my computer and once I had all of the information correct I printed it onto some vellum paper that I have in my stash. 🙂
I attached the vellum with some Extreme Tac Glue Dots from Glue Arts in the 4 corners and then added White Pearls from Want 2 Scrap on the corners of the vellum to hide the Glue Dots and add some pretty bling to the invitation. I then Die Cut a Heart Tag using The So Wrapped Lovely Heart Shaped DooHickey Die from Magnolia. I added a stamp that said Bridal Shower to the Die Cut and a sweet Rose from Prima and some more Pearl Bling. You know Me and Pearls I just can’t have enough…
The Invitations were put into the Pocket Cards addressed and sent to all of our Wonderful Family and Friends. The Shower was a great success!
I hope you like the shower invitation and please be sure to leave me a comment as I love to hear from you! Thank you for visiting today and please come back soon as I will be sharing the Wedding invitations and much much more…
